Hear the heartbeat of the earth at Mt Bromo

This is one of the places on earth that feels unreal, even when you’re physically there standing and watching a volcano erupt right before your eyes, or when you’re standing near the crater listening to the low rumble of an active volcano 🌋

We’re lucky enough to be able to catch the sunrise around 5am. Look up at the night sky before the sun rises and you might be lucky enough to see the Milky Way (we didn’t 🥲)

You can choose to purchase a handheld bouquet of edelweiss, make a wish and toss it into the crater (costs a little more than 1 USD) This is a tradition practiced by many locals on the 15th day of the lunar calendar.

Tips:
Despite its beauty, do note to bring wet wipes and eye protection (if you need them) as the dust and sand up there is no joking matter.
Bring some change as toilet up there charges 5k IDR for a person.
