Midway stop at Toyama City before reaching Tateyama Kurobe

When heading to Tateyama Kurobe, there are two routes. If you're coming from Nagoya, Kyoto, or Osaka, you'll definitely stay overnight in Toyama City in the Hokuriku region, and then take six different modes of transportation to reach Tateyama Kurobe the next morning. The other route starts from Nagano Prefecture or Tokyo, but we won't cover that here. 😅

After a full day of travel, arriving at Toyama Station from Hong Kong felt incredibly moving because everything went so smoothly! 🥹 Unfortunately, the schedule was too tight this time, so I didn't get a chance to explore the blessings of the Hokuriku region properly. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to return someday!

Toyama City is the hometown of Doraemon's creator and features various trams. There's also a beautiful piano in front of the station where kids showcase their musical talents. 😂 I chose the Kintetsu Hotel located above the station for accommodation. July isn't the peak season for Tateyama Kurobe—there are no snow walls or autumn leaves—so hotel prices were quite affordable, and the rooms were very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at a hotel near the station for a night. 😚

Tomorrow marks the start of the one-day journey through Tateyama Kurobe using six different modes of transportation! 🥰😊 Stay tuned!
