[Takayama Inari Shrine]

#JapanTravelGuide

Located in Tsugaru City, Aomori Prefecture, this Inari Shrine is famous for its thousand vermilion torii gates.

It is said to have been built between the Kamakura and Muromachi periods.

The enshrined deities are Ukanomitama-no-Mikoto, Satahiko-no-Mikoto, and Omiyame-no-Mikoto.
They are said to grant blessings as gods of bountiful harvests, maritime safety, and prosperous business.

From the elevated area behind the torii gates, you can get a panoramic view of the entire shrine. The sight of the endless rows of approximately 2-meter-tall torii gates is truly breathtaking.

The countless rows of Inari statues create a mysterious atmosphere, as if you've wandered into another world.
