Kyoto: A temple with a 360-degree view of hydrangeas

Mimuroto Temple has a hydrangea garden that opens from June to July.

The grounds are covered with hydrangeas, and the colorful hydrangeas in pink, white, purple, and blue make for great photos!

Going through the hydrangea garden and further in, you will find the main hall, where you can worship the Koma rabbits instead of the guardian lions.

The Byodoin Phoenix Hall is also nearby, so it is recommended for sightseeing in Kyoto.

Location: Mimuroto Temple

Address: 21 Ujimichi Shigatani, Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture

Access: About 15 minutes on foot from Mimuroto Station on the Keihan Line

Parking: Available (paid)
