#TravelWithPochiKatsu

Hakusan Shrine
14-12 Akajima-cho, Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture
093-791-1943

This shrine originated from mountain worship of the sacred Mount Hakusan (Ishikawa Prefecture).
Its treasures include an Imari ware votive tablet (designated a city cultural property) donated by Koizuka Jiroemon, the magistrate of the Fukuoka domain's Shudara rice storehouse, during the Kyoho era.

Izanami-no-Mikoto, the goddess of birth, is the god of safe childbirth and easy childbirth.

By extension, she is also worshiped as a god of industrial development.

Kukurihime-no-Mikoto and Kotosakae-no-Mikoto, who negotiated and reconciled the husband and wife deities, are said to be the gods of harmony and marital bliss.
