Surfing in the ocean of Rishiri Island

In fact, Rishiri (apparently on the south side) is a hidden gem for surfing.

I don't surf, so I first found out about it a few years ago when a celebrity who is good at surfing visited on a cruiser.

Apparently the waves in Rishiri are long and the swell is great.

What's more, the water is so clear that it's called Rishiri Blue, and it's never crowded, so you can have the sea all to yourself.

Even in summer, the seawater in Rishiri is cold.

Make sure to bring something to warm you up.

It's about a 10-minute drive from Senboshi to Kutsugata.

Why not warm up in the hot springs at Hotel Rishiri in Kutsugata?
