The most eye-catching feature of Wanrong Dongyue Temple is the Feiyun Building. Known as the "First Wooden Building of China," this ancient structure, originally built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, is one of the finest existing examples of pure wooden architecture in China.
Standing 23.19m tall, Feiyun Building features a three-story exterior with a hidden two-story interior, topped with a cross-gabled hip-and-gable roof. Remarkably, the entire structure is built without a single nail, relying solely on intricate mortise and tenon joints. Inside, four towering golden pillars reach the top floor, surrounded by densely packed brackets shaped like clustered clouds, hence the name "Feiyun Building" (Flying Cloud Building). Its upturned eaves, glazed tile roof, and gleaming appearance under the sunlight make it a true masterpiece of ancient architecture.

• Detailed Close-ups: The brackets and wood carvings of Feiyun Building are exquisite. Close-up shots of these details showcase the superb craftsmanship of this ancient structure.
• Portrait Shots: With the ancient building as a backdrop, you can take stunning, atmospheric portraits that exude an ancient charm.
P.S. Don't miss the free stamps at the cultural and creative store. They're gorgeous! 😭
