Wenxi Dongyue Temple, Yuncheng, Shanxi

Wenxi Dongyue Temple, also known as Dai Temple or Taishan Temple, was built in an unknown year. It was already there when Fenyang County was established during the Zhenguan period of the Tang dynasty (627–649).
Feiyun Tower in Wenxi Dongyue Temple was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming dynasty. It is a representative of Chinese all-wooden tower architecture and is known as the "First Wooden Tower in China." Together with the Shakyamuni Pagoda of Fogong Temple (Yingxian Wooden Pagoda in Shanxi), it is known as the "Southern Tower and Northern Pagoda."
Feiyun Tower is magnificent and varied, with unique features in terms of construction technology, structural mechanics, and modeling art. It occupies a unique position in Chinese wooden architecture, reflecting the level of ancient Chinese architectural skills and having important historical value.
Kudos to our ancestors!
