Mid-to-late April - mid-May (The blooming period for rhododendrons on the mountaintop will be slightly longer due to the altitude difference)

🚘 Transportation Guide
Navigate to "Longchi National Forest Park." Once you reach the old Longchi gate, you can continue driving upwards until someone stops you. Park your car there and continue on foot. (Sedans can't go further up, and the road gets progressively worse. SUVs and cars with high ground clearance are recommended.)

🏃‍♀️Hiking Route: Completely Wild and Undeveloped
After driving through the archway at the foot of the mountain, we drove for a few minutes and decided to park the car by the roadside and walk up. We wanted to challenge ourselves a bit.
You can hike on the main road or take the smaller trails. We took every small trail we saw. There's no cell service on the mountain, so if you have a poor sense of direction, it's not recommended to go alone. Keep an eye on the direction of the main road outside the forest to avoid getting lost. The round trip takes about 6 hours.
The soil is soft, so hiking boots and trekking poles are essential. With adequate preparation, you can fully enjoy the physical exertion and mental pleasure😎

Tips:
1️⃣ Longchi Forest Park hasn't officially reopened since the earthquake, so there are basically no people inside. You can hike in on your own now. Driving in requires a local guarantor.㊙️
2️⃣ There are no shops inside the park, so be sure to bring food and water in advance.
3️⃣ The temperature at the top of the mountain is very low, like a natural air-conditioned room, so bring a light jacket.
4️⃣ Some sections of the road have been washed out and haven't been repaired, so drive with caution!
