📍Longchi National Forest Park
Located in Longchi Town, Dujiangyan City, it has been closed due to the earthquake and has recently reopened. You can enjoy the cool water in summer and play in the snow in winter. It is the nearest snow-playing holy place around Chengdu

You can also see many monkeys along the way. The monkeys here are not as wild as the monkeys in Mount Emei. Don’t be too comfortable when taking children to play. The snow on the top of the mountain is very comfortable to make snowmen and snowball fights. In the afternoon, you can go to Dujiangyan to play and taste the local specialties and the night view of Nanqiao when you go down the mountain

We took the path all the way up to Longchi, which was 6.5km in total, and took the road all the way down to the parking lot, which was 10.5km in total, for a total of 17km round trip.

If you want to experience mountain climbing, park your car at the entrance of the mountain. If you just want to play in the snow, you can drive directly to the top of the mountain

1. About monkeys🐒: Don’t carry plastic bags in your hands. Wear a backpack as much as possible. Plastic bags may be robbed. The monkeys in Longchi are not as fierce as those in Mount Emei. They will not attack people actively. We only eat when we give them food. It’s better to have a trekking pole in your hand. Monkeys dare not approach!
2. There are small vendors at the starting point of the hike, selling food and water, mainly instant noodles + sausages. There are no vendors after passing the mountain gate.
3. The road along the way is relatively clean and will not dirty your shoes. The path is closer and the road will be a little wet, but overall it is easy to walk and not slippery.
4. The entire loop to the top of Longchi Mountain is about 20 kilometers round trip. If you finish the walk, you need to set off early.
5. There is almost no signal on the mountain, so you need to pay attention to safety.
6. There is a largest parking lot halfway up the mountain where you can camp and set up a canopy for barbecue.

3. There is a source of drinking water on the mountain, please do not pollute it.
4. Because the mountain is relatively high, please take good warm-keeping measures. It is not cold when climbing, but it will be very cold once you stop.
5. There are no toilets in the mountain, so pay attention to protecting the environment.
6. There are few parking spaces, so don't park randomly to affect traffic.
7. If you drive to the top of the mountain, it is best to have anti-skid chains. There will be floating ice and snow on the road at the top of the mountain.
