Jiangsu Huishan Ancient Town 3/4

Huishan Ancient Town is centered around Huishan Ancient Temple, and connects Erquan Jichang Garden, Huishan Town, Huishan Zhi Street, Heng Street, and Huishan Clay Figurine Museum. The overall planning and development of the area is rich in historical and cultural significance. The proposed development area extends from the Second Spring Under Heaven in the west to Huangbudun in the east, from the north side of Longguang Pagoda in the south to Tonghui West Road in the north, covering an area of about 70 hectares. The main line of the development will be the northern section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Wuxi, extending the famous scenic spots of Jichang Garden, Erquan, and Huishan Temple in Xihui Scenic Area. The core development will focus on the temple culture buildings composed of Huishan Heng Street, Zhi Street, and Sitangjing North and South Rivers, creating an ancient town garden cultural tourism street area with beautiful scenery, rich attractions, deep cultural heritage, and strong Jiangnan style.
The main body of Huishan Cultural Relics Area is located in the current Xihui Scenic Area, covering an area of about 70,000 square meters. The southern part of Jichang Garden and the restoration of Shaobao Academy and other temples have been completed. After the protection and restoration of Huishan Temple, Huaxiaozi Temple, and Erquan Scenic Area are completed before 2004, the entire Huishan Cultural Relics Area will be declared a national key cultural relic protection unit, centered around Jichang Garden.
The main body of Huishan Ancient Town Style Area is located in Huishan Heng Street, Zhi Street, and Huishan Bang area east of Baoshan Bridge, covering an area of about 150,000 square meters. Through the reintegration of various buildings and environmental management in the area, the traditional style of the original Huishan Ancient Town will be restored, centered around Huishan Ancient Temple Group. Two traditional ancient streets, two alleys, and Huishan Bang water tourism channel will be formed along the banks of Huishan Bang, creating a Huishan Ancient Style Area extending from the east side of Jichang Garden to Huangbudun.
