Sanke Grassland is only about 13 kilometers from Xiahe County, a typical highland pasture in the Gannan Tibetan area. 1) It is best to visit on sunny days.
2) Altitude Sickness: The scenic area is about 3,000 meters above sea level. Avoid strenuous exercise upon arrival. You can prepare Rhodiola in advance or buy oxygen bottles at the county pharmacy.
3) Clothing Preparation: The temperature difference between day and night on the plateau is large. Even in summer, bring a light down jacket and windbreaker. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential.
