| A Gentle Encounter of Nanyang Nostalgia and Modern Comfort. Why Andaz?
As a long-time Hilton loyalist, I was drawn to try Hyatt's Andaz this time due to a friend's recommendation and its Nanyang-inspired design. Despite being a first-time guest, I was pleasantly surprised by the meticulous experience.
▫️ Design: A Serene Expression of Nanyang Charm
Wooden floors, retro patterned bathroom tiles, and French-style brass faucets—each detail whispers the elegance of bygone eras.
The public areas, painted with lush greenery and natural light, create a laid-back Nanyang ambiance, like stepping into a tranquil private courtyard.
▫️ Room: A Balance of Comfort and Aesthetics
Starting from 50㎡, the well-planned space includes a bathtub, walk-in closet, and vanity desk.
Though lacking sea views, the Japanese-style window frames filter soft light, bathing the room in serene warmth.
▫️ Service: Thoughtful Without Overbearing
From the warm welcome to the farewell, the service feels natural and effortless.
The complimentary minibar is generously stocked yet unpretentious, with local snacks and drinks reflecting genuine care for guests.
Stay Notes / Real Check-In
▪️ Breakfast: Available at the hotel (reportedly underwhelming), but we opted for nearby local eateries within walking distance.
▪️ Location: Highly convenient, adjacent to MixC Shopping Mall and just a short drive from Shapowei and Zhongshan Road.
▪️ Regret: Missed the hotel’s afternoon tea and happy hour—perhaps next time, lounging by the pool for a leisurely afternoon.
📍 Address: No. 101 Hubin East Road, Siming District, Xiamen
💰 Price: Starting from ~¥1,300/night (excluding breakfast)
▫️ Summary / Ending
Andaz’s beauty lies not in ostentatious luxury but in its subtle, soothing gentleness.
It’s like a quiet book, best enjoyed slowly.
