Legend has it that during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, the concubine of Emperor Xianzong Zhu Jianshen suffered from a strange disease that could not be cured for a long time. Later, she dreamt of the scenery of the temple and felt very happy. The concubine's dream coincided with the Luding Mountain Giant Buddha Temple. After the concubine came to pay her respects, she recovered. After the monk Zhishen reported to Emperor Xianzong, the emperor named it "Guangfu Temple" and personally wrote a plaque that has been used to this day. The temple is now the location of the state and city Buddhist Association.

📚 Introduction to the attraction:
Guangfu Temple, also known as Luding Mountain Guangfu Temple, was originally named "Giant Buddha Temple". It was built during the Tianyou period of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of over a thousand years. It is known as the first ancient temple of Luding Mountain.
The temple houses one of the four major stele forests in China, the Earthquake Stele Forest, the fourth largest ancient Han cypress among the ten "Bashu Tree Kings", a bronze bell weighing more than one ton, and ancient steles, incense burners, bronze Buddha statues, etc.
