An old, nostalgic station full of modernity

Hualien Xincheng Township [Jingmei Station] initially focused on cement transportation, and later on it also had the function of transporting people and providing transportation. It is a transportation station for Hualien aboriginal townships. It was not until around 25 years ago that Jingmei Station lost its necessity for passing trains and became a calling station due to the double-track construction of the Eastern Railway. Jingmei Station is located in an aboriginal tribal area and is decorated in aboriginal style. Later, it became an unmanned station due to the gradual loss of its function. It is still used for passengers, and railway fans will find a different world here, as if they have walked into a corridor of time.
