Located in the town, it's convenient and close to attractions and performances. Quiet and comfortable.
Simple and elegant, with a strong Zen culture.
🍽️Food and drink: The town has cafes, tea shops, restaurants, and street food. A wide variety of options at reasonable prices. No price gouging. CNY 5 for tofu pudding, CNY 10 for takoyaki! For a proper meal, try the farm-style dishes in the town. CNY 40 per person. The roast chicken is delicious 😋
🥳Entertainment: In and around the town
First, let's talk about the attractions in the town.
🌟Nanyao Starry Sky Hot Spring: Multiple hot spring pools, water sports, and a new attraction where you can cook in a large pot.
🌟Color Museum: Experience intangible cultural heritage lacquer fans and tie-dye. A fun and interesting parent-child activity.
🌟Sixth Patriarch Hui Museum: Experience copying scriptures and meditation. Feel the peace and slow pace of Zen culture.
🌟Hanfu Museum
From CNY 58 for a costume and styling experience. I was mesmerized!
There are many clothes and props to borrow for photos, but remember to book in advance. The nearby buildings make great photo backgrounds.
There are also makeup and costume packages and travel photography options ranging from tens to hundreds of yuan. The parent-child series is great for families.
🌟Parent-child Non-powered Park
Dozens of non-powered play facilities for kids. The kids will love it! It's easy to take the kids out for a walk.
🌟Every Saturday and holiday, there are fire pot performances, Vulcan parades, and fireworks and bonfire parties. Visitors from all over the world come to experience these wonderful and passionate activities. The relaxed and fun atmosphere is truly amazing.
Now let's talk about the attractions around the town.
🌟Guoen Temple, free admission (15-minute drive, 2-hour visit)
The elders will love it. It has a 1,300-year history. Take a slow walk up to see the wishing tree, prayer wheels, Gratitude Tower, and other attractions.
🌟Wenchang Bridge + East Street, Temple Street (15-minute drive, 1-hour visit) Wenchang Bridge is best visited at night. The atmosphere is great when the lights are on, and many locals sing there.
Temple Street has old arcade-style buildings. Great for photos during the day. East Street has many dried fruit shops and local specialties. Clearly marked prices. Worth a visit.
