May Day Walking and Dancing in Xinzhou Ancient City｜Intangible Cultural Heritage Performance·Iron Flower Making

Making iron flowers is an ancient Chinese folk art and has now been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. I seem to have seen it in the TV series Story of Yanxi Palace. As the name suggests, it is to knock the hot molten iron into the air, creating an effect like fireworks 🎆❤️

We were very lucky on this trip. The iron flower show, which was often suspended due to weather conditions, was still performed as usual. The last three performers who made iron flowers with bare arms were very impressive. After watching these performances, I really feel that many ancient skills really need to be protected and preserved by the country, otherwise it would be a pity❤️

The whole performance is only 30 minutes, but I still highly recommend everyone to watch it, it's great👍
