New Year, go to Yangon "Chautatgyi Reclining Buddha Temple"

Leaving Nga Htat Gyi Pagoda, cross the road and walk into a small alley to reach Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda.

A large pavilion, you can see the reclining Buddha from afar. Yes, that's right, this is the largest and most important reclining Buddha temple in Burma. Many people call it the Sweet-Eyed Reclining Buddha, because of the graceful and beautiful appearance of this reclining Buddha, whose eyes are beautifully painted.

Originally, it was not this big or beautiful, but it was renovated until it became as grand and beautiful as you can see.

The feet are patterned in the style of the great man of the Buddha. On the head, there is a beautiful Burmese patterned wire pillow.

There are stairs to take pictures of the side of the feet of the reclining Buddha. From this angle, you can see the whole body.

In front of the temple, there are beautiful carved wooden Buddha images for rent and worship, along with souvenir shops.

That's it, in this New Year's visit to Yangon, I have already paid homage to 3 temples. The last one left is Shwedagon Pagoda, which I will pay homage to before returning to Thailand.
