Naksan is quieter and more secluded than Gangneung and Sokcho, but has a pretty ocean. Where should you go in Gangwon-do for a 2-day, 1-night weekend?

🩵Naksansa Temple
It is a thousand-year-old temple founded by Master Uisang in the 11th year of King Munmu of Silla (671).
It is famous for its beautiful scenery overlooking the East Sea. There are many famous places where you can see the sea and the sun, such as the Haesu Gwaneum Statue, Uisangdae, and Hongnyeonam, so it is a good place to watch the sunrise or enjoy the ocean view. In particular, Uisangdae is one of the eight scenic views of Gwandong and is especially famous as a sunrise spot.

I liked the temple stay because I could listen to the monk's calm words, meditate, and find peace of mind.

If you go down after looking around Naksansa Temple, the Naksan Beach below is also pretty, so I recommend it :)
