Shaobo Ancient Town is located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and is one of the thousand historical and cultural towns in the country, with a history of more than 1600 years. The town is famous for Xie An, and Shaobo Ancient Town is built along the east embankment of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, where Emperor Qianlong stopped during his six visits to the south of the Yangtze River.

Pass by the entrance of Shaobo Patrol Inspector's Yamen, where there is a beautiful sweet osmanthus tree, highly recommended to visit. The sweet osmanthus tree in front of the door was planted in memory of Xie An from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, with an age of about 750 years.
Shaobo Patrol Inspector's Yamen is located in Damatou Alley of Shaobo historical district, established in the first year of Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty (1368). The patrol inspector, a ninth-rank official, governed 24 neighborhoods and eight shops, with 132 Baojia (community defense organization), covering the area from Dinggou in the east, Huangjue in the west, Xian'nu Temple in the south, and Lujin Temple in the north. The patrol inspector's yamen was a grassroots administrative office with certain armed forces during the Ming and Qing dynasties, responsible for 'inspecting deceit, protecting the happiness of the people, and ensuring the safety of merchants and travelers.'
