Help!!! This small town hides the romance of Jiangnan in every bit of its everyday life

Help!!! This small town hides the romance of Jiangnan in every bit of its everyday life🥹

Family, does anyone understand😭!!! It was originally just a casually booked weekend short trip, but I was deeply healed in Yangzhou!! Three days and two nights were completely not enough to explore. Now my mind is full of the sweet aroma of morning tea, the evening breeze of the canal, and the continuous "Come on" echoes in the alleys. I can't help but enthusiastically recommend it to everyone!!!

🍜 For this morning tea, I am willing to stay in Yangzhou forever!!

The first stop in Yangzhou must be morning tea!! I got up at six in the morning and rushed to Quyuan Teahouse. I thought I was early enough, but there were already more than 20 tables ahead!! However, the moment I saw the menu, I felt it was worth it—jade shumai, thousand-layer oil cake, three-diced buns, shrimp roe wontons... each one looks like a work of art!! Highly recommend the crab roe soup dumplings; use a straw to sip the piping hot soup first, the freshness will blow your mind, and the filling is full of crab roe and crab meat. One bite brings an explosion of happiness~ After morning tea, take a walk along Slender West Lake to digest. The lake surface still shimmers with morning mist, willows sway gently, and even the air feels sweet and fresh!

🌉 The romance of Yangzhou is hidden in 24 hours of slow time

In the afternoon, you must go to Pishi Street!! This place is a paradise for artsy youth~ The bluestone road is full of treasure shops. Order a cup of jasmine tea at Fushengji Bookstore and cozy up by the window to watch the old street’s bustling crowd; at the corner, the red lanterns hang at the entrance of Changle Inn, every photo looks like a Jiangnan masterpiece!! At dusk, you must take a cruise on the ancient canal. When the sunset dyes the sky orange, the ancient buildings on both sides light up with warm yellow lights, the oars break the ripples on the river surface, and at this moment, you finally understand what "One-third of the world’s bright moonlit nights, two-thirds of the mischief is in Yangzhou" means🌙

🏮 Night tour of Dongguan Street is like traveling through a thousand years!!

After nightfall, Dongguan Street is simply the pinnacle of earthly fireworks!! Various time-honored delicacies smell so good you can’t walk straight~ The freshly fried lotus root starch balls are crispy outside and glutinous inside, bursting with juice when bitten; the Osmanthus rice wine balls from the Simple Food House are sweet but not greasy, cool and perfect for summer!! There are also many intangible cultural heritage craft shops along the street. I bought a small Yangzhou lacquerware box as a souvenir, so exquisite I don’t want to use it~ At the end of the street is Dongguan Ancient Ferry. Standing on the bridge watching the cruise boats shuttle by, I suddenly understood why ancient poets wrote so many poems about this city!!

📸 Secret photo spots revealed!!

✅ Heyuan Garden: Be sure to visit the second-floor covered corridor, where the interplay of light and shadow makes every photo cinematic
✅ Daming Temple: Stand on the Qiling Pagoda to overlook the entire Yangzhou city, lush and super healing
✅ Zhuyu Bay Park: Get close to alpacas and sika deer, perfect for snapping fresh, Japanese-style photos in no time

This trip to Yangzhou really changed my perception of travel!! No crowded crowds, no commercial noise, everything here is slow and leisurely, even the air carries a relaxed scent~ Before leaving, I packed two boxes of Xie Fuchun’s duck egg fragrant powder, ready to bring this Jiangnan gentleness home💗 Everyone must come to Yangzhou to experience true slow living!! Trust me, you will definitely fall in love with this city that has romance engraved in its bones~
