🏯 History & Things to See
• It is believed to be the site of the Jeolla Left Naval Base during the Joseon Dynasty, and is known as the place where General Yi Sun-sin issued military orders .
• The centerpiece of the square is the life-size turtle ship exhibition hall! You can experience the life of the Joseon navy by looking around the inside, and it is the perfect place to take a commemorative photo .
• The fountain ‘12.23 Fountain’ along with the statue of General Yi Sun-sin is also a must-see. This fountain spurts water 18m high to commemorate the 23 battles.
