Yingde has always been a place that tea lovers can't miss in Guangdong, and Red Flag Tea Factory is the nostalgic focus of my trip! If you not only want to buy tea, but also want to feel the atmosphere of handicrafts and experience authentic tea culture, Red Flag Tea Factory can definitely satisfy you by taking pictures and tasting tea! 🌱😌
List of itinerary highlights:
This time I made a special trip to the Red Flag Tea Factory to feel the combination of the strong old industrial style and Chinese tea culture. The tea factory retains its original architectural features. Walking into the factory area on a sunny day, you will see the antique Chinese-style gatehouse, the open-air venue for drying tea, and the handmade tea sets and tea-making tools are still stored in the corner of the room. There are traces of human history everywhere.
Highlights of Attractions:
📍Red Flag Tea Factory
- Address: Tea Road, Red Flag Residential Committee, Yingde City, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province
- Opening hours: year-round 08:30-17:30;Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00;Saturday-Sunday
The weather outside the tea factory is sunny, and the Chinese-style building has distinct roof lines. It's very photogenic to take beautiful photos! The interior space is rich, divided into a display area, a tea-making workshop and a tea-tasting experience room. As craft enthusiasts, it is recommended that you take the time to look at the tea making process, from fresh leaves to baking, visit the masters to show the processes such as kneading, sifting, and selecting tea.
The tea tasting area is nostalgically designed, nestled between old wooden tables and ceramic teapots. A formal tea ceremony experience is led by a dedicated person. The staff carefully explained the different types of tea and brewing methods. Not only did they drink beautiful tea, but they also learned to distinguish the aroma and taste of tea.
Practical tips:
1. It is recommended to go early, especially on weekends with high customer flow, tea tasting experience requires more reservations.
2. Some exhibition areas and workshop spaces in the factory area are relatively old, but the hygiene management is good. Pay attention to safety under your feet.
3. For nostalgic photos, recommend the most beautiful light in the morning or afternoon.
4. While enjoying the handicrafts, you can buy English and German red tea on site, in a variety of packaging to choose from (gifts are suitable).
5. It is recommended to choose comfortable shoes, many stone roads in the venue, more comfortable to move when visiting.
Dining and Transportation Tips:
The scenic spot is within 20 minutes by taxi from the main city of England and Germany, and some city bus services go directly to nearby stations, which is very convenient.
There is a tea factory staff canteen nearby that offers simple Cantonese cuisine. It is recommended to bring your own snacks or lunch to adjust your itinerary.
There are not many large restaurants nearby. If you want to eat authentic British and German snacks, it is recommended to dine in the city after leaving the factory.
