Baiyun Mountain

We arrived at Baiyun Mountain early in the morning, just as mist clung to the trees and the sun began to filter through the canopy. As we climbed higher, patches of sunlight broke through the leaves, casting shifting patterns on the stone steps. Birds called from somewhere deeper in the woods, and a distant stream offered a soft, steady sound. When we reached one of the viewing platforms, the fog had lifted just enough to reveal rolling hills in the distance, layered in soft greens and blues. It wasn’t a dramatic view, but it was peaceful like the kind of quiet.
