We visited Lingxiao Tower on a clear, breezy afternoon, when the skies above Yulin were a soft blue and the city below stretched quietly into the distance. Climbing the tower was a slow, steady experience each level offered a new perspective, not only of the view, but of the craftsmanship within. At the top, the wind met us with a kind of gentle insistence, and we stood in silence for a moment, taking in the rooftops, the walls, and the traces of old and new that coexisted across the city. There was something grounding about it being so high up, yet feeling more connected to the place. Lingxiao Tower wasn’t just a lookout point; it felt like a memory keeper, watching over Yulin for generations. We left quietly, as if the moment asked us not to break its stillness.
