In Lijiang, experience a soul escape from horseback riding to the wetlands, with just the right pace to completely relax your mind✨
🚶♂️Today's Route
Horseback Riding Experience → Lashi Lake Wetland Walk → Meiquan Village Check-in
The first stop must be horseback riding🐎! Feel the history of the Ancient Tea Horse Road on Yunnan's unique short-legged horses, with an incredibly wide view. It is recommended to find a reputable stable, where professional guides will lead you on safe routes (remember to bargain!)
In the afternoon, head to Lashi Lake Wetland Park (📍No. 5, Anzhong Village, Yulong County, Lijiang City). The park closes entry at 6 PM, but the scenery is most beautiful at dusk! The reed marsh at Migratory Bird Bay is breathtakingly beautiful, perfect for photos📸. The ticket price is a great value at 28.89 yuan, and you can stroll along the wooden boardwalk for about 2 hours.
Finally, go to Meiquan Village for a cup of local snow tea🍵. This Naxi ethnic village preserves original waterwheels and mills, especially healing under the sunset~
⚠️Tips:
1️⃣ The wetland is windy, remember to bring a jacket and wear non-slip shoes
2️⃣ Wear long pants for horseback riding! Shorts will chafe your legs
3️⃣ The roads in Meiquan Village are narrow, be careful when driving and passing other vehicles
🦆Foodie Guide:
On the way back, stop by the Lashi Lake salmon breeding base to try the rainbow trout sashimi, fresh and sweet enough to make your tongue dance! The snow peaches and dried apples sold in the village are also worth taking home.
