Liupanshui + Bijie 8-day route

8-day itinerary revealed! 🌟
Day 1️⃣:
Arrival at Bijie's first stop: Bijie Boerjun Theme Hotel (super stylish hotel!)
Afternoon: Check out Bijie People's Park, a popular stroll for locals! 🌳

Day 2️⃣:
Morning: Visit the Bijie Museum to learn about Yi culture. 📚
Afternoon: Head to Shexiang Ancient Town for ethnic photography. 📸
Overnight: Dafang Haoxiang Hotel.

Day 3️⃣:
Pingyuan Ancient Town: A great place for an after-dinner stroll. The milk shaved ice in the ancient town is delicious!
It's stunning when the lights are on.

Day 4️⃣:
Explore the world-renowned wonder, Zhijin Cave! An underground art palace! ✨
(Reminder: Bring a jacket as the temperature inside the cave fluctuates greatly!)

Day 5️⃣:
Walk through Minghu National Wetland Park and enjoy some fresh air 🌿
Then head to the ethereal "Yaochi" (Yaochi), a local's secret photo spot!

Day 6️⃣:
A full day dedicated to the Wumeng Grassland! Windmills and sea of flowers are incredibly relaxing 🌼
In the evening, check out the Haiping Yi Cultural Town, enjoy a long-table banquet, and watch a performance!

There's nothing much to see in the cultural town without visiting it. If you want to take photos, the walls are covered in large advertisements. We enjoyed the walk along the way, but it rained later, so we had to leave in a hurry. Cloudy days are hard to take photos, and sunny days are congested, so you have to choose between the two. Day 7️⃣:
Take it easy on your last day and visit the adorable animals at the Liupanshui Zoo 🐼

Bijie is affordable. A large and small portion of noodles 🍜 is only 10 yuan, and you can eat until you're full.

Red bean hotpot was 🍲16 yuan per person. There are so many restaurants, and every one is delicious!

📌Tips:
✔️Wear sun protection when traveling in August. Short-sleeved shirts and long pants are fine in normal temperatures, and bring a jacket.
✔️The grasslands have a wide temperature range, so bring a jacket if you're just visiting. If you're staying overnight, you'll need a thicker jacket, or even a light down jacket! Bring rain gear, the weather is unpredictable ✌︎˶╹ꇴ╹˶✌︎.
✔It's hot walking in Zhijin Cave without a thin jacket! Try not to go with your child 👦🏻. It's exhausting to carry them if they don't walk, and you can't throw them away, but you can't carry them either 😂.
✔️Comfortable shoes are recommended for the ancient town.
✔️Taxis in Dafang Zhijin 🚕 are all shared, while ride-hailing options are exclusive.
✔Don't go to Liupanshui Zoo if you're short on time! There's not much to see. If you want to feed the sika deer, go, but the zoo is small and the smell is strong.
