The Caixi Rock Provincial Scenic Area is situated at the southeastern foot of the Daiyun Mountains in Fujian Province, in Caixi Township (formerly Xiangxi Township, a provincial ecological demonstration township), 42 kilometers from the county seat of Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province. The scenic area covers 35 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 755 meters. Tiejian Mountain reaches an altitude of 1,395 meters. The average annual temperature is 17.2 degrees Celsius.
