Located at the northeastern foot of Jinping Mountain, it stretches 800 meters from east to west and 300 meters from north to south, reaching an altitude of 123 meters. Legend has it that Confucius once ascended this mountain to gaze at the East China Sea, hence the name Kongwang Mountain.
Kongwang Mountain is also one of the 71 Blessed Places of Taoism. During the Tang Dynasty, it was known as Longxing Mountain. During the Southern Song Dynasty, it was also known as Xunwang Mountain, a place used for defense against the Jin Dynasty. Known for its rich cultural landscape, it is a national scenic spot and a key cultural relic protection site.
Today, Kongwang Mountain boasts Kongwang Pavilion to the north, Wanghai Pavilion to the south, Dragon Cave and Longdong Temple to the east, Elephant Stone in the center, and Han Dynasty cliff carvings at the western foot, which are particularly famous. The mountain boasts beautiful scenery and numerous historical sites, making it a renowned scenic spot in Lianyungang City.
