Yuzhou Park is the result of the overall planning and renovation requirements of the Xinpu urban area by the Lianyungang City Planning Bureau. It is a comprehensive planning and renovation of the former People's Park, and it has been renovated into a park centered on the city center with a plant landscape as the main feature, supplemented by park waterscapes, which provides a place for residents to relax, visit the park, exercise, and enjoy the scenery.

Yuzhou Park is located in the northern part of Xinhai District in Chongqing, west of Yuzhou North Road, south of Renmin Road, and north of Jianguo Road. It covers an area of 14 hectares. Construction began in October 2006, was completed in December 2007, and officially opened to the public on New Year's Day 2008. The total investment was over 45 million yuan.
