Ruyi Lake is located in the heart of the Central Park of Zhengdong New District's Central Business District (CBD), surrounded by the CBD's three iconic landmarks: the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Henan Art Center, and the Zhengzhou Convention and Exhibition Hotel. The bottom of Ruyi Lake is covered with a bentonite anti-seepage blanket. The blanket contains compressed natural mineral volcanic ash, which expands when exposed to water, making the blanket even more waterproof. Atop this blanket is a 30-centimeter-thick layer of soil and pebbles, which fully supports the growth of aquatic plants. The microorganisms in the soil also cleanse the water, avoiding the ecological damage that would be caused by simply laying an anti-seepage membrane.

A large-scale CNC-controlled integrated waterscape performance system has been installed on the central island of Ruyi Lake. The system features over 20 different fountain patterns, with the main jet reaching a height of 80 meters. This system utilizes modern CNC technology, integrating musical fountains, water screen films, artistic lasers, special lighting, and diverse music. The water droplets rise and fall in sync with the music, sometimes resembling a dragon emerging from the sea, sometimes blooming like a lotus, and sometimes swaying like a willow tree. The water screen transforms into athletes, sometimes a kindly Santa Claus, resembling a moving painting or a colorful poem. A wooden boardwalk, approximately a kilometer long, circling the lake provides an enjoyable and enjoyable platform for visitors to stroll and relax. The lake is home to over 20 species of ornamental fish, including three-capped red, black gold, and three-striped scales. The lakeshore is shaded by trees, and the surrounding buildings flow gracefully. The clear water reflects the surrounding high-rise buildings, and schools of fish swim and leap in the water, creating a captivating scene.
