The Weibei Grape Industrial Park is located in Xiagui Town, in the northern part of Linwei District, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, 25 kilometers from the city center. Bordering Fuping, Yanliang, and Pucheng counties, it lies within Xi'an's one-hour economic zone and in the heart of the Guanzhong Tianshui National Economic Zone. In September 2011, the park successfully hosted the First China Weinan Grape Festival and the 17th National Grape Academic Symposium. The park has been recognized as the "Hometown of Chinese Grapes" by the China Fruit Circulation Association, a "Comprehensive Demonstration Base" by the National Grape Industry Technology System, a "Shaanxi Modern Agricultural Park" by the provincial government, a "National Youth Science Popularization Demonstration Base" by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and a National Demonstration Site for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism by the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Tourism Administration.
The district enjoys convenient transportation, crisscrossed by the Beijing-Kunming Expressway, the Lianhuo Expressway, the Weipu Expressway, the Guanzhong Ring Road, National Highway 108, Provincial Highway 107, Weiyang Road, and Shuangguan Road. The park, covering a planned area of 200,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), is divided into a core area, a driving zone, and a radiating zone. The park's development is market-oriented and utilizes modern agricultural technologies. Following the principle of "modern agriculture as the guiding principle, integrating characteristic towns, highlighting rural scenery, and embellishing ecological landscapes," the park, built on the land's primary industrial status, adopts a secondary industry management model, and incorporates tertiary industry service functions. The goal is to achieve "six transformations": standardized production, industrial scale, high-tech development, market-oriented mechanisms, landscaped park design, and urban-rural integration. This will achieve two transformations: transforming Linwei District from a traditional agricultural hub into a modern agricultural powerhouse, and from a traditional plain agricultural area into a landscaped agricultural area. This will promote industrial upgrading and transformation in Linwei District, creating a new economic growth point.
The warm temperate semi-arid monsoon climate, abundant light and heat resources, fertile soil and excellent irrigation conditions make it an excellent breeding area for many types of grapes and suitable for summer travel and picking.
The grape demonstration garden, grape expo garden and seedling breeding garden have begun to take shape; the road construction, greening and street light installation of the Grape Food Street have been completed with an investment of 42.5 million yuan. The Tang-style commercial and residential building of the Grape Food Street with a construction area of 25,000 square meters has been pre-sold out, and the main project of the 5,000-ton fruit warehouse of the Grape Logistics and Preservation Center has been completed, which is suitable for travel and picking.
It is recommended to play for about 3 hours.
