Qiankunwan is located in Yonghe County, Shanxi Province, 53 kilometers south of Yanchuan County, Shaanxi Province . When the Yellow River flows through Hehuili Village and Houshanli Village in Yonghe County and Dacheng Village, Xiaocheng Village and Fuyihe Village in Tugang Township, Yanchuan County, Shaanxi Province, it forms an "S"-shaped bend, forming a mysterious shape.

Qiankun Bay is a natural Tai Chi diagram, a major natural landscape on the Qin-Jin Gorge of the ancient Yellow River Road, and also one of the most beautiful and spectacular scenic spots in Yonghe, Shanxi.

From the Qiankun Pavilion, the panoramic view stretches out to the Qiankun Bay, shaped like a Tai Chi diagram. With a curvature of over 320 degrees, it's considered the Yellow River's longest bend. Like the Yin-Yang fish of Tai Chi, it embraces lush green hills. Houses dwell on the hills, smoke curls from their chimneys. On the grassy shore, a herd of cattle drinks from the river. Qiankun Bay is not only magnificent but also a portrait of life on the Loess Plateau.
