Aso Volcano is actually the general name for a group of volcanoes, among which there are five higher mountains, the highest of which is only over 1,500 meters. It is still an active volcano and is constantly erupting smoke.
It is more lively in Kusasenri Plateau. In addition to restaurants and shops, there is a volcano museum. Usually there aren't too many people unless the crater is closed that day. We first visited some exhibitions and watched a video introduction to learn about the formation process of volcanoes. There is also the history of the eruption, the impact on nearby residents, and an introduction to volcanic rocks... Finally, of course, there are souvenirs for sale, so you can go there if you want to kill time while waiting for the bus!
