Considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Southeast Asia
An important landmark in Brunei

Visited during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan
Unfortunately, unable to enter the interior for a tour
Walked around the exterior of the building
Listening to the prayer broadcasts from the mosque
Feeling the grandeur and magnificence of this mosque
Its pure white exterior glistening under the sunlight
Visiting at noon, I could hardly look directly at it
_
This is the first country I’ve visited where Islam is the state religion
The entire nation is filled with devout Muslims
The experience during Ramadan is even more profound
It’s hard to describe the feeling
I’ll be staying in Brunei for a whole week
Taking my time to explore slowly and thoroughly
