Thailand's Lucky Travel: The Beautiful Emerald Temple 'Wat Paknam'

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
When traveling in Thailand, temple hopping is a must✨
After changing at a rental costume shop, we headed here!

📍Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen

The construction cost was 70 million yen! Quite surprising🫢
This is a historic Thai temple dating back to the 1780s.
Inside Wat Paknam, on the 5th floor, you'll find the emerald stupa (Buddha relic shrine) and the ceiling paintings, which are incredibly beautiful.
Eighty dragon kings (Pawanaak) made entirely of glass surround the center,
and the central glass stupa is 8 meters tall and 7 meters wide,
constructed from 800 sheets of glass, each 1 cm thick.
Of course, pay attention not only to this glass stupa but also to the ceiling paintings!
They depict the Bodhi tree and the twenty-eight Buddhas representing the life of Buddha.
From the viewing spot outside on the fifth floor,
you can see the large back of the Buddha statue right in front of you!!
It’s 69 meters tall,
so huge it’s astonishing‼️ Be sure to take a precious photo with the Buddha’s back!
