Admire the beauty of Wat Suthat and Sao Chingcha

Come and admire the beauty of Wat Suthat Thepwararam, an ancient royal temple that is a landmark of the city, located near Sao Chingcha. It was built during the reign of King Rama III. The atmosphere inside the temple is quiet and shady, perfect for those seeking a peaceful place to pay respects to the Buddha.

The main highlight of the temple is the Phra Sri Sakayamuni, a large and beautiful Buddha statue enshrined in the main vihara, brought from Sukhothai. Nearby is the statue of Phra Suntaree Vani. Inside the ubosot, there are also exquisite mural paintings depicting the life of the Buddha. Prayer books are available for borrowing, placed on the bookshelf behind the Buddha statue.

📍 MRT Sam Yot, a short walk away.
