One of the must-see attractions in Bangkok for foreigners is Wat Phra Kaew, or Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram.

This temple was built alongside the founding of Bangkok. It is a royal temple with no resident monks, but you can come to listen to sermons on Buddhist holy days.

The temple boasts beautiful structures, including the ubosot (ordination hall), viharn (viharn), mondop (pavilion), chedi (chedi), bell tower, and gallery.

For those interested in the Ramayana, the murals and stories told around the gallery, complete with all episodes, are well worth a visit.
