Beihai silver beach

“Beihai Silver Beach” (北海银滩, Beihai Yintan) is a well‑known beach resort in Beihai City, Guangxi, southern China.

It’s a large coastal beach stretching about 24 km from west to east, located in Yinhai District, roughly 8‑10 km from Beihai city center.

The beach width varies, in some parts up to ~3,000 meters.

The sand is very fine, white quartz, and under sunlight the surface glitters — that “silver” effect gives the beach its name.

It’s known for its soft waves, gentle slope (meaning safe swimming in shallow water for some distance), clean water, and the environment is maintained fairly well.
