Chasing Craters and Hot Dogs: Iceland Day 1 Adventures! ❄️🌋🌭

Our Iceland trip kicked off with a cozy, homemade breakfast at our Airbnb — nothing beats starting a day with a warm meal we whipped up ourselves! 🍳☕️ Feeling energized, we headed out to the stunning Þingvellir National Park, where the landscapes felt straight out of a fantasy movie. Standing between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates was such a surreal experience! 🌍✨

Next, we made a quick stop at Selfoss Town, a charming little place perfect for a stroll and a breather. Lunchtime called, and we answered by visiting Kaffi Krús, a super cute cafe that served up delicious food in the coziest atmosphere. Honestly, it felt like a warm hug in the middle of Iceland’s crisp air! ☕️🥪

No trip to Iceland is complete without trying a famous Icelandic hot dog, so we swung by Pylsuvagninn. Let me just say — the hot dog bun alone deserves a standing ovation! Soft, flavorful, and paired with that iconic Icelandic mustard… it’s truly a must-try! 🌭

After our bellies were happy, we explored the mesmerizing Kerið Crater. The vibrant blue water against the deep red volcanic rock was absolutely breathtaking. Photos don’t even come close to capturing how magical it felt standing there! 🌋💙

Before heading back to our Airbnb to recharge, we stopped at Krónan Mart to stock up on some essentials (and maybe a few snacks for our next adventures!). 🛒✨

Day 1 was a perfect mix of nature, food, and cozy vibes — can’t wait for what’s next!
