Hidden history in the city center, Busan's 40 Steps walk & photo spot

■ I liked this!
 - I could vividly feel the lives and history of Busan refugees after the Korean War
 - Thanks to the various sculptures and murals created in the actual 40 steps and surrounding alleys, the alleys are full of things to see
 - A theme street that captures the sentiment and stories of Busan in the 1950s and 1960s, so both walking and taking pictures are satisfying
 - It is open to the public for free, so it is easy to stop by without feeling burdened, and it is also suitable for planning a course in conjunction with the nearby Yongdusan Park or Gukje Market
 - The cityscape and alley views from the top of the stairs are also attractive
■ Street atmosphere
Overall, it is full of a quiet and retro atmosphere. The statues of musicians, small benches, sculptures expressing the refugee period, and murals on the walls that you come across as you go up and down the stairs are lovely. It is a short distance, but it is a good place to stay for a long time and reminisce about old memories.
■ Location & Directions
The entrance is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Jungang Station on Subway Line 1. Signs are well-placed in every alley and there are many famous tourist attractions nearby, so it is easy to get around even for first-time visitors. If you are driving, you can use the nearby paid parking lot.
■ Visiting tips
 - If you visit in the morning, you can take pictures quietly and look around
 - After looking around the 40-step theme street, we recommend connecting with tourist attractions within walking distance, such as Gukje Market and Jagalchi Market
 - If you are interested in the story, you can have a richer experience by referring to the information boards or QR code explanations on site
■ Disappointing points
 - There are many stairs and hills, so it may be somewhat inconvenient for the elderly and those using strollers
 - The distance is not large, so if you look around all at once, it may feel like the time is short
