This time I especially want to

Who gets it! After squeezing through the bustling city center of Changsha for two days, I ended up staying at this hotel and didn’t want to leave! Open the window and it’s Meixi Lake right there, lying in bed watching the shimmering waves, even taking a bath facing the lake view (remember to draw the sheer curtain hh), the tranquility amidst the busy city is just perfect~
This place really understands “understated luxury”! Song Dynasty aesthetics + Chinese garden style, walking through the hollow ceramic brick corridor at the entrance, the light and shadow falling on you creates such an atmospheric vibe, the lobby’s crystal chandelier with dark wood walls, plus contemporary art paintings, just a few steps feels like strolling through a Jiangnan garden. On rainy days, listen to the water sounds in the mountain and water courtyard, it’s poetically enchanting 🍃
The room setup is absolutely top-notch! Floor-to-ceiling lake view windows frame Meixi Lake like a moving painting, at night watching the lights reflecting on the lake feels like living inside a Monet painting~ Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speakers, King Koil mattress, Fumare bath products, even the coffee machine is Nestlé, every detail exudes old money elegance! The 24-hour butler service is super thoughtful, arriving early comes with a handwritten welcome card + fruit, and at night they leave a warm sweet soup when making the bed, who wouldn’t be smitten with this service😭
The facilities also hit all the right spots! A 25-meter heated swimming pool with a glass dome letting in light and shadow, plus complimentary private lessons in swimming/fitness/yoga/boxing (choose one of four), and they even offer travel photography services! Enjoy new Chinese-style afternoon tea at the lobby bar, listen to the water sounds in the courtyard, you could stay in the hotel all day and never get bored~
The location is super convenient too! A 5-minute walk to Meixi Lake Culture and Arts Center (a must-visit designed by Zaha Hadid), 10 minutes to Bubugao for shopping and dining, Metro Line 6 goes straight to Wuyi Square, and it’s only about a 20-minute drive to Yuelu Mountain. The perfect balance of lively and quiet is just irresistible!
If you want to escape the crowds in Changsha and experience a “staycation,” ladies, just go for it with your eyes closed! Fewer people, peaceful, and great for photos, staying here is the real vacation~
