Hiking at the end of the rainy season, you have to go to Phu Soi Dao: (If I can't pick you up, I'll go pick a star instead 😆)

🌟🌌 Phu Soi Dao, just the name alone makes you feel like it must be beautiful. This is one of the most popular hiking trails in Thailand. It is suitable for adventurers, hikers, and campers who want to challenge themselves with a steep walk of more than 6.5 kilometers to experience the beauty of the purple Nang Nak flowers that bloom in the rainy season. The highlight of Phu Soi Dao is the “flower field in the middle of the mountaintop” and the cool weather all year round. In the morning, there is a thin mist floating over the three-leaf pine forest, giving a feeling like being in a foreign country (seriously).

🏞 There are 5 main hiking trails in total: Sending off relatives, Prab Sian, Marana, etc. (I can’t remember). Each slope is quite steep, but the one that makes our hearts beat fast and almost fall out is… “Prab Sian” slope. Haha. Many people may be afraid of Marana, but I think Marana is not as tiring as Prab Sian. It truly lives up to its name. I made pretty good time, taking about 5–6 hours to walk up (some people are very strong, it takes 3 hours). It is suitable for people with a good physical condition. You should prepare good shoes and necessary items. Including tents and sleeping bags because you have to stay overnight for 1-2 nights on the mountaintop. What you can't miss along the way are smelling salts and mineral water 😂 There is also a delicious fried egg shop up there. There are separate shower rooms and toilets for men and women, but you have to bring your own water bucket and dipper (you can rent one from the park officer). I forgot to mention that there are porters.

👍 I recommend walking during August–September, which is the season for the most beautiful Nang Nak flowers and Sai Thip waterfall. If you love nature, peace and quiet, and want to conquer a mountain higher than 2,100 meters above sea level, "Phu Soi Dao" is definitely worth the effort. 🌲💜⛰️
