Phu Soi Dao is beautiful from every angle.

Let's review our first hike. We chose Phu Soi Dao as our destination, a place so beautiful we wanted to try it ourselves. So, we began our trip with 7 other members to conquer the pine forest at Phu Soi Dao. This post will review the hike to see what it's like for beginners. 🍃✨🌳
⛰️The Phu Soi Dao trail only goes as far as the pine forest, a distance indicated by the signs for 6.5 kilometers, with 5 hills to cross before reaching the pine forest.

- Hill 1: Sending Relatives Hill, 1.6 kilometers from the starting point. This is an easy, not too steep, hikeable hill.
- Hill 2: The Expert Hill, a hill that's still tractable. There's a path alternating with stairs at intervals, with some steep sections.
- Hill 3: Pa Ko Hill, which is steeper than the previous hill and has more rocks. Be careful walking and be careful of cramps.
- Hill 4: Suea Krong Hill, this hill may seem short, but it's incredibly tiring. We stopped frequently to rest. As it gets steeper and steeper,
- Hill 5: Death Hill is the steepest hill on the trail. Be very careful as you climb, as it's an unobstructed climb, making it significantly hotter. Bring plenty of water for this climb, as we stopped frequently for a drink. Once you pass this hill, it's flat and easy to walk. The pine forest is beautiful, with a beautiful view that's well worth the climb. You can see so many stars, including the Milky Way. The climb up is well worth it! 💫

⛰️🦯🎒 In conclusion, is Phu Soi Dao suitable for beginners? I'm a beginner, having just started hiking and haven't gotten much exercise. I'd say that beginners can walk, but it's incredibly tiring. Don't rush too much. Just walk as far as you can handle and don't push yourself too hard. If you have porters who can carry your belongings, hire them to carry your belongings. I carried as much as I could handle so I could use my energy to walk instead. 💕

✨P.S. This trip we went independently, taking it easy. In my next post, I'll share how to book a tent, porters, and Phu Soi Dao National Park, as well as how to use the restrooms on Phu Soi Dao. Stay tuned for the next post! ⛰️🫶🏻🌥️
