The Mountain Resort: China's largest surviving imperial garden, divided into palace, lake, plain, and mountain areas, combining the essence of northern and southern Chinese gardens. Recommended visit duration: half to full day. Mountain shuttle available for touring hilly areas.
The Eight Outer Temples: A group of Tibetan Buddhist temples surrounding the Mountain Resort, blending Han and Tibetan architectural styles. The Putuo Zongcheng Temple (Little Potala Palace) and Xumi Fushou Temple (Panchen Lama's Palace) are most spectacular. Recommend visiting 2-3 temples.
