✈️ Transit Number 8🌿

A coffee shop that doesn't seem to take you anywhere, but when you step out, you feel like your heart has traveled.

Chiang Mai has so many cafes, so many that sometimes it feels like you're just going through the same old thing: wooden tables, white tones, and soft menus. But Transit Number 8 isn't like that at all.

It's a shop at the end of a deep alley near the old airport. There's no big sign, no loud voices, and no one even beckoning you to enter. But once you open the door, everything is quiet and "still," without any effort.

🌤️ The atmosphere isn't like a cafe, but more like a small airport for those who aren't in a rush.

The name of the shop says it all – Transit – it feels like the moment between point A and point B.
We're not really anywhere, but we're not lost.
It's like taking a break between the hustle and bustle of life and an unreached destination.

The shop front has a small zebra crossing that seems to lead us somewhere.
There's a Japanese-style bus stop with bare concrete walls and small tables by the window.
The sunlight streams in slowly, as if time here moves slower than anywhere else.

☕ The coffee isn't anything new. But it's so good that it feels like... this cup doesn't need much explanation.

Many people recommend the Dirty – iced milk with a shot of hot coffee. It's rich and aromatic, but not bitter.
They make it just right, not overly sweet, and not overly artificial.
It's a "real" coffee in its own right.

If you don't drink coffee, the matcha uses high-quality tea leaves. Or try the fizzy cocoa coke that contrasts with the hot Chiang Mai weather for a fun twist.

There aren't many desserts, but every single one seems to be carefully selected to fit this small cafe.

Soft Oreo cookies, dense cakes, and croissants with just the right amount of buttery flavor.

I didn't come here for dessert, but after eating them, I was like, "Wow!"

📸 As for photography... Transit is a location for those who like simplicity but something to notice.

Take photos at the crosswalk, next to the stairs, or just the light coming through the window, and you'll feel like the photos have a story.

Not because it's spectacular, but because it's simple and real enough to let you be yourself inside.

🪑 Who is this place for?

– Perfect for those who are tired. But I don't want to talk.
– Perfect for those who don't want to post a story, but just want to sit quietly with themselves.
– Perfect for those who are thinking about something and don't want an immediate answer.
