Worship at Wat Chet Yot, Chiang Rai

.. It is a third-class royal temple, common type, located on Chet Yot Road, Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province.

.. It is assumed that this temple was built during the Lanna Kingdom or before King Mangrai established Chiang Rai. Later, it was abandoned after the invasion by Burma.

.. Until the reign of King Rama III, Phra Khru Ba Khantha Khanthawaso invited the villagers to help restore the temple since 1843 and has been restored many times until now.

.. The temple is beautiful in the Lanna architectural style that is still outstanding with the gable, Naga stairs leading up to the ordination hall.

And behind the ordination hall, there is a seven-spire pagoda with pagodas of different sizes, standing on the same square base.

.. The temple is open to visitors every day from 06.00-18.00 hrs.
