Chiayi's Hinoki Forest Village is Taiwan's largest complex of Japanese-style buildings. Formerly a forestry dormitory during the Japanese colonial period, it was built with Alishan cypress and has been restored and transformed into a cultural and creative park. The park boasts 29 historic wooden buildings, home to cultural and creative shops, specialty restaurants (such as Sen Cafe), exhibition spaces, and a kimono-wearing experience, recreating the ambiance of bygone Japan. Located near Beimen Station, it's perfect for a cultural getaway.
📍 Useful Information:
· Opening Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM daily.
· Admission: Free admission to the park (some exhibition halls and experiences require an additional fee).
· Transportation: Walk approximately 20 minutes along Linsen West Road from Chiayi Train Station, or search for "Hinoki Forest Village" in your driving navigation.
· Nearby: Visit attractions such as Beimen Station, Sleeping Forest, and the Chiayi Municipal Baseball Stadium.
