Must-see nostalgic buildings at Hinoki Village

When it comes to Kaohsiung, many people will immediately think of Alishan and turkey meat and rice, but if you like hipster style, you can’t miss Hi Yi Sen Living Village! This trip chose to take a slow walk in the early autumn afternoon. The Hina Yi Forest Village is dominated by Japanese-style buildings. The highlight is that the whole village is densely shaded, so you don’t have to be afraid of the sun, which definitely brings a moment of healing to the urban traveler.

Attraction Recommendation: Hiyori Forest Living Village

The Living Village of Hiu Yi Sen combines cultural creativity, historical architecture, handicraft experience and specialty ice products. The park consists of several century-old Japanese-style buildings, each filled with a strong scent of cypress, while showing the elegant nostalgia of the Showa era in Japan.

Must-See Highlights:
1. Characteristic Architecture Tour: It is recommended to start from the entrance of the village and walk slowly along Republic Road. Each cabin has a different theme, such as cultural and creative crafts, exhibition halls, cafes and selection shops, and many local design brands.
2. Shade walk: Visit in early autumn, cool incomparable, large shade of trees makes people walk relaxed, in the afternoon under the slanting sun is especially suitable for photography, casual walk a few steps have a natural filter sense.
3. Craft experience: I didn't think I could try DIY woodwork/pottery/Japanese Japanese paper art during the trip.
4. Ice products to save the heat: tired can find a specialty ice shop, taste the Chiayi limited flavor, taro, peanuts, or local ingredients made of snowflake ice, refreshing and not greasy, especially suitable for summer and autumn transition.

- The village is shaded by many trees, which is most comfortable to go in the afternoon, neither hot nor beautifully lit.
- Craft workshops are more likely to fill up on weekends, it is recommended to book early or pay attention to on-site queue information.
- Most of the pavilion areas have air conditioning or fans, so it won't be too stuffy in summer.
- There are many hipster coffee shops nearby, you can stop by, Chiayi limited dessert must try.
- Pay attention to the light when taking pictures, the light is most beautiful after 3pm, check-in plus points!

Transportation Guide:
Take the Chiayi Railway Station and walk for about fifteen minutes, or you can rent a bicycle near the train station and walk slowly, enjoying the city scenery along the way and environmentally friendly.

Food Recommendations:
In addition to ice cream in the park, there are several popular cafes and dessert shops nearby, such as "Mori Coffee" (Republic Road shop), and ancient bean curd is a must-try recommended by users!
