Located in Chiayi City, Hinoki Forest Village is one of the earliest forestry villages in Taiwan and has a strong Japanese style. The buildings here are made mainly of Alishan red cypress, forming the largest Japanese-style building complex in Taiwan.
The history of Huiyi Forest Village can be traced back to the Japanese colonial period. It was then a dormitory for forestry workers. Later, it was transformed into a cultural and creative park, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience.
There are 29 old Japanese-style buildings preserved in the village, among which the Forestry Club has been listed as a municipal historical site.
Visitors can stroll around here wearing kimonos and feel like they are in Japan. In addition, Hinoki Village also has multiple themed areas, including a cultural and creative market and DIY experience, allowing visitors to enjoy food and handcraft fun.
